Woman Peddling In Fake Cialis Gets Imprisonment

A resident of Philadelphia, Niaja Kane was found to be trading in fake Cialis as well as in counterfeit Viagra and Percocet pills and as a consequence she was incarcerated for a period of 32 months in federal prison.

Through investigation federal authorities found out that Niaja Kane facilitated large-scale sale of fake pills over the internet by using the name moreandmoreNiaja". After the recovery of 1,200 fake Cialis tablets, 2,000 counterfeit Viagra tablets and 8,900 Percocet pills from Kane's home by federal investigators in September, she was charged with illegal drug trafficking and a court case proceeded against her.

Though according to federal guidelines, Niaja Kane should be sentenced for 46-57 months, Assistant U.S. Attorney Judy Smith had given her imprisonment for 32 months which is a much lighter sentence.

Kane's attorney Mark Hauser had pronounced that the punishment given to his client is fair with regard to the fact that Kane's father had been murdered when she was just two years old and that she is not a criminal if her past record is to be considered.
