Cialis Maker Icos Tests New Drug For The Treatment Of Psoriasis

According to an authentic source, the Cialis manufacturer Icos Corp. is going to launch a drug for psoriasis in the market soon with clinical testing on the medicine being initiated by the company in Europe .

In August Icos Chief Executive Paul Clark made it clear that the drug developed by Icos Corp. for the treatment of psoriasis is currently under clinical testing. The drug candidate IC 776 functions by inhibiting the white blood cells and is on the lookout for a large market.

As the under experimented drug is an oral pill and not an injection, Icos hopes that if it emerges successful from clinical experiments it would be advantageous over other prevalent medicines for psoriasis.

Research organization Decision Resources estimates the market for drugs meant for psoriasis is likely to expand from 1.5 billion in 2005 to $3.5 billion by 2015.
