Just before being taken over by Eli Lilly and Co., the drug company Icos Corp. has expressed its hope of increasing the sales of Cialis, the erectile dysfunction drug jointly marketed by Eli Lilly and Icos to $1.1 billion in 2007. According to the deal which is to be taken place within the two companies shortly, Eli Lilly would pay Icos Corp. a price of $2.1 billion, or $32 per share and gain complete control over the erectile dysfunction drug Cialis. Along with revealing the future estimation regarding Cialis sales, Icos Corp. also predicted that in 2007, the company's net income would lie in between $52 million and $63 million on a fully taxed basis.
