Kingpin of Fake Cialis Racket Faces Deportation To US

After being arrested at a Hong Kong hotel for masterminding the sales of fake Cialis, the erectile dysfunction drug, on a large-scale over the internet, a Chinese mainlander is likely to be extradited to the United States in connection with the seizure of fake drugs in several US cities during raids.

According to Hong Kong police sources, the accused headed the worldwide sale cum distribution of 400,000 counterfeit erectile dysfunction pills mainly Viagra and Cialis that cost around 4.4 million US dollars.

A thorough investigation by the customs police in Hong Kong as well as in United States identified the 27-year-old culprit as the main man behind fake drug trafficking and pursued him relentlessly. Undercover agents posed as potential customers struck a deal with the accused and a Honk Kong hotel was chosen as a destination to hand over the drugs which further led to the arrest of the accused.

Hong Kong Customs Drug Investigation Bureau head Ben Leung revealed that the man had not been charged but is likely to be transferred to the US in the charge of fake drug trafficking or smuggling or fraud.

Alone in the first eight months of 2006, the custom officials have so far confiscated 2,054 Cialis pills.
