Minister Resignation Seems Inevitable If Proved Guilty Of Concealing Cialis Use By Convicted Murderer

With the accusation thrust against the Australian Correctional Services Minister Carmel Zollo by the opposition that inspite of having the knowledge that the convicted murderer Bevan Spencer Von Einem was taking the anti-impotency drug Cialis , she had concealed the truth to parliament; resignation by the minister has emerged as the ultimate possibility if proved guilty of the charge.

In a counter reply to the accusation, Attorney-General Michael Atkinson reveals in a statement issued by the ministry that as the Correctional Services Department chief executive Peter Severin got hold of the letter where it was mentioned that the convicted murderer was using Cialis, he forwarded the statement to the department`s investigative unit but forgot to mention the details relating to the erectile dysfunction drug Cialis.And as a consequence, the minister Ms. Carmel Zollo failed to provide complete information to the parliament regarding the administration of Cialis by the alleged murderer.

The Attorney-General also makes it clear that in a revelation before November 2006, Mr Severin had denied having any knowledge on the incident and Ms. Carmel Zollo had passed on this message to the parliament.
