Date: 13th September 2007 An experiment conducted by Raymond Poincare Hospital researchers yields that the anti-impotency medication Cialis can successfully cure erectile dysfunction in men suffering from spinal cord injuries. According to relevant details, from among the 197 spinal cord injury afflicted erectile dysfunction patients enrolled for the experiment, 25 per cent patients triggered off erections required for sexual intercourse. In the Cialis maker Lilly ICOS LLC funded experiment, the men were not provided any treatment for the initial 4 weeks period and then for the next 12 weeks they were randomly administered with a Cialis or a placebo one per day before sexual activity. As soon as the 12 weeks treatment ended, a questionnaire session was conducted to assess the prevalence of erectile dysfunction and the question-answer session made it clear that men administered with Cialis had the score of 22.6 (mild ED) while those taking placebos scored 13.6 (moderate ED). Altogether the results of the study made it apparent that men administered with Cialis achieved 75.4 percent success in sexual penetration along with achieving 47.6 percent success in sexual intercourse while the placebo administered men had 41.1 percent and 16.8 percent success rates in successful penetration and successful intercourse respectively. The study results are likely to appear shortly in the journal "Archives of Neurology" in its November edition. Source: http://health.usnews.com |
