The brain is a messaging system in the human body and if it is ailed it will send either wrong, distorted or no information at all, to the other parts of the body. Ailments like depression, mood swings, cancer, nervous breakdowns, addictions, strokes, epilepsy- all these are the rocks that keep the brain from functioning effectively. Unfortunately, although some of these disorders can be treated, some of them are either incurable or they make a lasting impact on the brain thus making it handicapped. The saddest part is that a handicapped brain means a handicapped body. In some cases mental disorders lead to extreme consequences like madness or suicides. The problem is that the whole branch of mental health is very vague. No particular reason can be jotted down as the cause of mental disorders and this is also the case with the treatment. Notwithstanding these facts, one with a good upbringing and a healthy social and familial life is having a very minimal chance of getting mental disorders. But even such a person is not exclusive. Even an apparently happy and content person can develop mental illnesses. Mental disorder is such an ailment that takes people from every age group under its belt. And very rarely does it spare those who come under its grip. The only way to keep this fateful condition at bay is to develop a control over one's emotions and try and maintain a mental equilibrium.
